DeepSea Power & Light

Who we are and what we're all about

We are proud of our accomplishments but we don't like to brag about them. The following description is offered to give you more insight into who we are and what we might be able to offer in terms of engineering a product to make your boating experience more enjoyable. Our engineering expertise is centered around lighting technology and packaging technology to enable instruments to work in harsh or difficult environments. We started out focused on oceanographic applications and have expanded into other markets since then:

•   In 1983 we began designing and manufacturing oceanographic lights and cameras that are typically used for oceanographic research and in remote operated vehicles that are used daily around the world in the offshore oil industry. Our products are best known for their durability, small size, and their ability to go deep. DeepSea's oceanographic products are recognized as quality instruments.

•   In 1994 we began designing and manufacturing the SeeSnake line of pipe inspection systems which are typically used for sewer inspection. These products are best known for their unsurpassed ruggedness in an environment which at first glance doesn't sound like a difficult one (other than being a potentially unpleasant one) but which is actually more difficult than most oceanographic applications in terms of shock, scraping, and plain rough handling. DeepSea's SeeSnake products are recognized as quality tools.

•   In 2002 DeepSea began designing and manufacturing the SeekTech line of locators that are typically used to find buried water, gas, electric, telephone or cable lines prior to digging. These products are one of the leading locators on the market, especially in the plumbing industry.

•   In 2003 we began designing the Thru-Hull SeaLite line of lights for pleasure and sport fishing boats. Since we have begun manufacturing and shipping the Thru-Hull SeaLite, it has been recognized as the best engineered light of its type, providing a unique combination of high performance and maximum durability.

The end result for all of our customers is what we call 'best value products' - they provide the 'best bang for the buck'. To get the best combination of performance, durability, and price we need to understand our customer's needs and ideas and that is why we'd appreciate hearing from you.

If you think we might be able to apply some of our engineering expertise to an idea that you have for making your boating experience more enjoyable, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're interested in hearing from you.
